Pilgrim Cottage Cattery has been established for over fourteen years in Chipperfield, Herts.

All our runs have ceramic tiled floors, white melamine partitioning and are 28 square feet (big enough for three to four cats from the same household).

Each cattery block is centrally heated as well as having heated beds. Our heating stays on 24/7 throughout the cold period. The elderly cats really appreciate the infra red lamps as well which were recommended by the FAB.

We stock every type of food as well as freshly cooked chicken and fish.

We supply fleecy bedding and toys, but always encourage you to bring anything from home that is familiar to your cat. From cushions to clothing, we have even had duvets - don’t worry, the runs are plenty big enough.

Our main priority is to spend lots of time with each cat.  Some are lap cats, some like to be stroked or groomed and some just like you being there.

Each cattery block has six large runs and the front is glass panelled so the cats can see out at all times. In the summer the whole front slides back. The mesh wire behind makes it secure.

We have four acres of paddocks and two ponies so there’s always something for the cats to watch during the day.

We are quite happy to give cats their regular medication and prescription food which must be supplied by you.

Our work is not limited to caring for clients’ cats, we also re-home cats through our close relationship with the Cat Protection League.
